In the presence of Mr. Ahmed Al-Ghanim, President of the Sports Sub-Authority in Daraa, “Musab Al-Bardan”, member of the Syrian Football Federation, and “Wadah Al-Rawashdeh,” Head of the Competitions Committee in the Technical Committee of Football in Daraa, the Sub-Authority for Sports and Youth in Deraa met with the Football Technical Committee.

Several issues were discussed during the meeting, most notably the “Governorate Cup” and its holding place, and to present the clubs’ offers and its conditions of acceptance for holding the cup championship in their home, and during the meeting, during the meeting, it was agreed to name the championship “Daraa Martyrs’ Cup”.

In addition to agreeing on the division of the participating teams in the cup competition to four groups (two in the western region and two in the eastern region).

The hosting conditions were also determined for clubs who are wishing to host the gatherings, taking into account the conditions of security and safety for players and the masses.

Three days have been given, from the date of publication of the decision to end the submission of applications for hosting; it was agreed on the date of the tournament in the “first of August next”, preceded by the drawing of lots after the approval of the Chairman of the Competitions Committee Captain Wadah Al-Rawashdeh on the specified date.

A member of the Syrian Football Association, “Musab Bardan,” talked about the intention of the Authority to checking the readiness of the stadiums in cooperation with the facilities office and the technical committee for football.

It is worth mentioning that this preparatory meeting is the first of the Governorate Cup in its second edition, after the launching the first edition which the Tafas Sport Club won its title.
